Unhumidified heated air not only makes it uncomfortable for yourself, causing nose, throat and skin discomfort, it also dries out the wood in your home. This causes shrinking of the wood framing around doors and windows. Gaps will then occur allowing cold air in, making your home less energy efficient. Add a humidifier and you will feel warmer in the winter. You will be more comfortable and there is no better way to protect and preserve your home and furnishings.
